Christmas in July

Today we celebrated Christmas in July.  We do this every year we can on July 25.  Our local Christian Radio Station plays Christmas music all day, and all us girls go to my sister Jeanne’s house and watch White Christmas.  And, of course, we eat!  This year, Jeanne surprised us by having some Christmas decorations out.

The day was even more fun because Emily got to be there for the first time.  She learns more each day what a nutty family she married into!  With the AC turned down low, we were FREEZING…..even Emily!

Just so you’ll know, we also celebrate Christmas in December!  We girls have “White Christmas” as soon as Pamela gets home from PCC.  Again, we go over to Jeanne’s house (she has the TV and the fireplace!) and watch “White Christmas” and eat!  Sometimes we invite the guys, but they don’t seem to get the same satisfaction out of the day as we do!  Today, Michael got home from work early, so he entertained us with Jake, their dog.  Jake is the smartest dog I know!

After the “dog show” we went back in and watched “White Christmas” and ate ALL of Emily’s chocolate cookies.  They were soooo good, and I hope Nathanael didn’t want any!

Have a blessed evening!

About Petty Bunch

The Petty Bunch is what we have called our family since Bill and I (Janina) began our family back in the early 1980s. We have gone down many roads together - homeschooling our kiddoes, enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship many years, working at "real jobs" other years. Through it all, we have been loved with God's everlasting love, and have found that underneath are His everlasting arms! We are blessed to have been married for over 39 years, and have 3 incredible adult children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, an amazing son-in-law, and TEN grandchildren: five precious granddaughters, and 5 handsome grandsons - so far. We are empty nesters, still enjoy the life of an entrepreneur and the freedom it gives us to continue enjoying our kids and now, their kids!
