Our Dannye Reigh’s Sick!

Hi, Gang!  Just a quick note to ask for prayers for Dannye Reigh.  I took her to the Dr. yesterday with a high fever, severe headache, and just general achy feeling all over.  The Dr. said many come in thinking they have the flu, but that Dan has the Real Deal!  Her flu test was indeed positive.

I know lots of folks have been sick this winter – Bill and I both have had upper respiratory infections, as has Gen and the kids Dan babysits.  But Dannye Reigh is NEVER sick!  She rarely even gets a cold.  Boy, is she sick now, though.  The Dr. even quarantined her until Monday, so she can’t keep Ruge and Parker, and the A-Team were supposed to come this weekend and I’m going to have to call that off.  She hates being without her babies, and I haven’t seen my boys since New Year’s!!!  Please pray for her, as well as for Bub and Emily.  They surely don’t need to be sick now.

I’m going to give a cabin update soon, but haven’t had time to get on our home computer in a few days.  Nathanael and Bill are really getting alot done, although it is at the stage where their work doesn’t show much.  Another prayer request:  Bill has some type of tendonitis in both arms, and is having trouble using his left hand, and lots of pain in his right arm.  The Dr. gave him prednisone and mobic, and wants him to see a specialist, but haven’t gotten there yet.  He is feeling some better, and is hoping he can stall the specialist visit for awhile.

Hope all is well with everyone.  Happy Valentine’s Day!!

God bless your day!

About Petty Bunch

The Petty Bunch is what we have called our family since Bill and I (Janina) began our family back in the early 1980s. We have gone down many roads together - homeschooling our kiddoes, enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship many years, working at "real jobs" other years. Through it all, we have been loved with God's everlasting love, and have found that underneath are His everlasting arms! We are blessed to have been married for over 39 years, and have 3 incredible adult children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, an amazing son-in-law, and TEN grandchildren: five precious granddaughters, and 5 handsome grandsons - so far. We are empty nesters, still enjoy the life of an entrepreneur and the freedom it gives us to continue enjoying our kids and now, their kids!

  2. Yeah, well, Nate’s coming down with it. Ibuprofen is keeping the fever under control, but the freezing cold feeling and horrible headache are out in full force. Goody.

Oh, I just hate that poor Dan is so sick!  I don’t suppose y’all do flu shots?  My last case of real flu a few years ago taught me that I don’t ever want to miss a flu shot again.  I look forward to seeing new pictures of the cabin rebuilding.  I am also so sorry you won’t be able to have the boys.  I know how much you were looking forward to it.  So were they.  Maybe you can work out another visit soon.
I love you all and will pray for Dan to feel better soon!

Thanks for the sweet comment on my last post.  I had a long email from Larry and the VA is giving poor Dean a terrible time about staying there.  I will send you the email.  Its just too long to try to write about.  We need to be praying for him.  And for Larry.  Aunt Jeri is making noises about needing to live closer so someone can help her!  They could not make her even think of all that when she was so determined to move away.  Like I said, poor Larry!!
By the way, Bill said he wanted to watch Dad’s electric scooter lift for a while to makesure it worked before he committed to trying to build me one.  Has he studied it long enough?  ha  I will gladly pay the cost (tell me how much first  ha).  I really need one to use this summer at the river.  I just can’t picture myself lifting those ramp boards in and out of the back of the truck every time I want to go craft shopping by myself.  Not with this back!!  So please ask him if he will be able to make another one, is he willing to and how much it would cost, and let me know.
I love you and pray that your household gets well soon.

I’m so sorry Dannye is sick!!  My prayers are w/you all!!  Thank goodness we’ve avoided any of the bugs & flu around here.  We’re just your accident prone/sickie kind of people up here!  Rob got a sliver of sheet metal embedded in his eye on Saturday while he & Bob were working on his patio cover.  It had started RUSTING by the time he had it lasered out on Monday!  Then my two stupid eye surgeries & now I have an ABSCESSED jaw tooth!!  My dentist has me on mega antibiotics but I look like the Godfather w/a swollen jaw!  Really cute……..Bob’s still wearing his “moonboot” as Bettye calls it for his broken foot & fusses about all the money it’s costing us for being old & infirm!!  ha……..oh well………sorry, I didn’t mean to start on our woes……..try to get Miss Dannye well & hope our sweet Daddy & your mom don’t get it!!  Love you all, Dodie

Hello!:)Yes I photoshop some, but I don’t fuzz out my backgrounds thanks to my 70mm-200mm 2.8 f lens!

Am I right in assuming that most of the fuzzed out backgrounds were deliberate.  I love some portraits done that way.  Really brings the viewer’s eye to the main subject of the photo and gives it a classy look.  To me. anyway.
