I know it’s been awhile, but we’ve just been so busy, what with house building, work, parents, god-children, and I don’t know what all! I’m mostly going to post pictures of my loved ones, and update later. There’s much to tell, but midnight is not a good time for me to get my thoughts together.
Emily and Nathanael have been doing a bit of ministering to my dad, Granddad to them. He has been ill, and seems to be showing signs of depression (not necessarily medical, but somewhat down in the dumps). His Dr. prescribed one of Dad’s favorite hobbies – rose gardening. So…
She really enjoys the work, and obviously Baby Roo doesn’t mind either!
As Emily has described, it is a beautiful garden of roses, ponds, fountains, and arbors. We had a lovely day.
Bub also encourages his Granddad to tell his wonderful childhood stories, which is good medicine for the dumps!
Beautiful, blue-eyed Parker – his Momma can’t decide whether to cut his hair or not. He’s my lovey-dovey. He just loves his Nonnie.
Ruge and Missy walked every path in the gardens. Ruge’s favorite place was the pond because there was an alligator AND a crocodile in it! Of course, they were concrete, but he enjoyed them anyway!
Okay, back to Granddad’s house…
Good form, Emily!
Last but not least, the house project. Nathanael and Bill are working themselves ragged, and having the time of their lives building this house. It seems to be going slowly, but we are trusting the Lord and our husbands that it is going to be done in a timely manner.
I don’t have pics yet, but tonight they finished raising the second truss. It is really frightening to watch them, but I have been praying that the Lord will protect our men as they are working on this project. It is hard for many people to understand, but God gifts us all in different ways. My husband is gifted in using whatever resources available to accomplish whatever needs we have. He may not have the ordinary, usual materials available, but he is an extraordinary man who has been “wired” by an extraordinary God. This house will be amazing, not simply because two very amazing men built it, but because our amazing, awesome Lord led, guided, prepared, and strengthened them for this task. There are moments of doubt, perhaps even moments of worry, but every time this happens, the Lord does another amazing thing to remind us Who is in control! Praise His name!
Soon will be the time for the volunteer crew. We will be calling you……………
Have a blessed day!
