If a picture paints a thousand words, I’m giving you 41,000! I don’t have time to tell you all about our day at Will’s family cottage last week, but needless to say, it was WONDERFUL! The cabin is adorable, and the weather was amazing (I actually got a little cold), and the boating/tubing was a blast. I haven’t been in a motorized boat (oars don’t count!) in YEARS! Well, there was that one time on Granddaddy Watt’s pontoon boat, but I’m not sure that counts either.
Anyway, enjoy the photos!
Isn’t it lovely? I’d have loved to stay there for a week!!
The Cottage from the end of the pier – that’s Andrew with his feet in the water.
He is a sweetheart!!
So Jenni gets Dannye out on the SeaDoo – and yes, they dunked!
Pam and Will take a spin
Aren’t they cute?
This little lake has these cottages on both sides of what they call the Narrows.
Pamela knows something’s coming…
There they go!
Then several of us piled in their boat while Will and his sister Amanda did some tubing.
She and Will have a great time together
She’s so little, she just flies up into the air!
Here goes Will
Taking a break…
Off we go!
Then Pamela talked Dan into taking a turn on the tube.
She just LOVED it!
She did real well, too.
At first, Mr. Swem was taking it easy. But once she got the hang of it, he wasn’t quite as merciful!
Bill told Dannye if she would, he would!
I’m praying he doesn’t get killed!!!
He did get thrown off, and that was the end of that – but at least he got on there!!!
Jenni took a turn with Dannye…
And they crashed!
Dannye got super sore, but she really enjoyed this day!
Dan & Jen
Then it was Andrew and Mitchell’s turn.
Mitchell wanted more speed, but Andrew wasn’t quite sure about it!
Boys sure do know how to enjoy life!
My beautiful baby girl
And my handsome future son-in-law

Riding a wave from the boat motor
Don’t fall in!
At the end of the afternoon, all dried and changed. I don’t think any of us were ready to go back to the house, but our family had to leave the next day, so we had to go.
Emily and I have oft talked about how nice it would be if Texas and Minnesota were about 1200 miles closer. Well, now there is another state too far from Texas, yet I long to be nearer! And Michigan is also about 1200 miles from here – I’ve decided that traveling will become a favorite pasttime!
