There is always something beautiful in the midst of sadness. Even during our last couple of weeks, we’ve had some wonderful bright spots. Namely, my children! Pamela flew in first, then Bo, Em, and the kids drove in last week. What a wonderful blessing to have the love, support, and encouragement of the kids! I know they were blessed to be here before Mama was gone, to love on her and say goodbye to her. It blessed Mama, too!
Bo and Em had to leave last night. It was really hard to let them go. The babies were so wonderful, so much fun. Titus is unbelievably fun and cuddly!!!!!
His smile is almost nonstop! I had a blast watching Nathanael interact with Titus – he’s hysterical! He’s already encouraging Ty to stick with protein and stay away from the carbs. He had to fight Papa, though, who just knew Titus needed a roll slathered with Country Crock! Good times!
Arulai is an absolute darling. She definitely has a mind of her own, but she is so obedient and loving. She seriously cares about the feelings of others, and OH, how she loves that baby brother! We exchanged Christmas gifts with Bo and Em before they left last night, and Arulai was so sweet and grateful about each gift. Lest you think she is all angel, after expressing sincere joy over a gift, she quickly asked, “Is there another one for me?”
She had us rolling! But then, when her Daddy told her she had to wait for someone else to open a gift, she was just as excited for them to open as she was for herself! What joy she added to our days!
Daddy was so glad to have Nathanael here. He loves his “Bub.” They talked – well, mostly Nathanael listened to his Granddad’s stories, something he loves to do. And no one talks sports like Granddad and Nathanael! Daddy was sad to see him go, but is so proud of Nathanael and wants him to succeed where ever he is.
Emily was a special blessing to me. She ministered to us as we ministered to Mama, and she was willing to do any chore we needed done. Emily especially blessed me by answering the phone which rang nonstop, and made many, many phone calls to family and friends to let them know about Mama’s passing. That must have been difficult, since she didn’t know half of them! It was an unbelievable relief to Jeanne and me!
I need to get off here. Will just arrived – Pam’s been here without her hubby for almost two weeks! After our “Hello’s” I’m heading to bed.
I’m just so thankful that the Lord seasons our lives with beauty. He is so good to us!
God bless your day!
