I know it’s been too long since I’ve written, but I wanted my dear Xanga friends to know that I have another beautiful grandbaby!
Selah Dawn Petty was born this morning, August 1, 2011 at 2:25 a.m. She weighed in at 8lbs., 3oz., and was 20 inches long. Emily had her at home, and Nathanael delivered her with Em’s mom and the midwives (who barely made it for the actual birth) cheering him on! Em awakened in labor, and Selah was born an hour and ten minutes later!
Seriously, does Emily look like she just had a baby a few hours ago?????
Isn’t she the cutest thing?!?!?!
Selah Dawn is named after her Nonnie (me!) as my middle name is Dawn. I can’t wait to get my hands on her chubby little self, but I will have to wait another ten days. Bill and I will be leaving Friday for a long trip to see all our northern kids. We will go to Pamela and Will’s home in Michigan first because we are taking some of their furniture to them AND we will take Pamela around to Bo & Em’s with us so she can meet Little Miss Selah. So we will get to the Minnesota kids’ home on August 10th. I cannot wait!!!!!
Thank you all for allowing me a little Grandma Bragging Rights! I miss you, and will be back on the Xanga ball very soon!
God bless your day!
She is absolutely precious! Babies who are born from a short labor often look a little better than their battle scarred counterparts! The mommies of the same babies look pretty stellar, too. (As does Emily!) Congrats all around, but especially to you, dear Grandma! Wonderful news.
Miss Selah Dawn is petite perfection and I am more than a little sad that I’ll have to wait for their next Texas visit to meet her in person. I know she’s the biggest, chubbiest of Emily’s babies, but she still seems so tiny! You’ll have to give her some kisses from Gen when you finally have her in your arms.
Congratulations on that beautiful little granddaughter! She is just gorgeous! So excited for you and your family!
Awww! The pics made me tear up! Nothing brings joy and freshness to a family like a baby. So happy for y’all!!
Congratulations! What a beautiful little girl with such a beautiful name! Enjoy your trip!
Congratulations! She is so beautiful! And her mother does not look like she just delivered. What a blessing that she arrived safely and so quickly.
She is wonderful! Congratulations you blessed woman! You will arrive there, about when my kids bring my little Malachi here (they arrive the morning of the 12th! I will look forward to lots of pics from you!
That’s so exciting! congrats to you! And Emily definitely doesn’t look like she just had a baby! Have fun on your trip…I guess that probably goes without saying 😛
@ABAHM – How wonderful little Malachi will get to come see you! I will be thinking of you as we both cuddle our grandbabies!
Oh what wonderful news! And yes, she’s adorable
I heard about your accident – so sorry! I hope it won’t affect your travel plans and that you heal quickly. Super congratulatory happiness to you for such a precious little namesake! I’m excited you will get to hold her soon!
@chix0rgirl – Thank you, Kat! I am determined it won’t interfere with our travel plans, if I have to take enough Motrin to fill up a dump truck! We are so excited, and while my leg and foot do hurt, it’s getting better everyday! It sure is good to hear from you! Wish we could run into each other sometime!!
