A Few Pictures

Before I begin my real post, I wanted to let you all know that the fires in our area are now 100% contained!  That doesn’t mean it is out, but it is completely under control.  Here is the latest report – it’s brief!

Riley Road Fire Update 9/14/11 pm

Location: Montgomery, Waller and Grimes Counties, Texas

Date of Fire Start: September 5, 2011

Cause: Under Investigation

Size: 18,960 acres- Approximate acreage by county: 10,604 acres in Waller County, 6,445 acres in Montgomery County, and 1,909 acres in Grimes County.

Containment: 100%

Management: Texas Forest Service, Grimes County, Waller County, Montgomery County

Fire Status: Fire activity on the Riley Road fire was light again today, Wednesday, as it has been for the past 4 days. Fire crews have successfully moped up the entire 45-mile perimeter and there are very few hot spots remaining. The last significant hot spot at the center of the fire south of 1774 and west of the Waller County Line has been cooled through several days of mop up efforts. Stronger winds in the fire area today, tested the integrity of the firelines, and no spotovers occurred. Thanks to the past 10 days of tireless efforts by firefighters, the Riley Road Fire is now considered 100 percent contained. Fire fighters will continue to carefully monitor the fire and respond to any smoke concerns from citizens. This will be the final fire update unless the fire situation changes.

Resources: Total Personnel: 72

Structures Damaged or Destroyed: 23 damaged / 76 destroyed

Dannye has been working on some photos lately – a wedding, a family shoot, and a bridal shoot.  She worked hard and fast to complete these jobs so she could work on a fun project!  So, I want to show you a few of the fun stuff!

While we were in Minnesota, Dannye wanted to do a real photo shoot of Nathanael & Emily’s family.  She said afterward on Facebook,Did you ever wish to photograph the perfect model family? Well I got to today!”

Family Shoot 1
I love seeing the way they love each other – give me joy!

Family Shoot 2
They could be models!  Maybe they should be!

Family Shoot 3
Aren’t they beautiful?

Family Shoot 4
I love this picture – so real life!

Family Shoot 6
She’s a little poser – wonder where she gets it??

Family Shoot 5
She loved this part of the session!  She is so beautiful, and loves beautiful things!

There will be more photos of the family, and some individuals of Titus later.  We shot them in two sessions, and Titus was only able to handle one!

I know there are other things to write about, but I just wanted to quickly show off my family.

God bless your day!

About Petty Bunch

The Petty Bunch is what we have called our family since Bill and I (Janina) began our family back in the early 1980s. We have gone down many roads together - homeschooling our kiddoes, enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship many years, working at "real jobs" other years. Through it all, we have been loved with God's everlasting love, and have found that underneath are His everlasting arms! We are blessed to have been married for over 39 years, and have 3 incredible adult children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, an amazing son-in-law, and TEN grandchildren: five precious granddaughters, and 5 handsome grandsons - so far. We are empty nesters, still enjoy the life of an entrepreneur and the freedom it gives us to continue enjoying our kids and now, their kids!

Yay for the fires all contained!  Perfect timing since I think the wind is supposed to pick up with this cool-front coming in this weekend.  Man, these are beautiful pictures! I really love the first 2 and then that last one of her posing-it looks like she’s a princess šŸ™‚

  2. What gorgeous pictures!   I love the “flavor” of this family.  You must have such soul gladness over being a part of their lives.  How wonderful!
