I Believe In Love…

When we were dating, Bill sent me flowers quite often – mostly, I think, because I was receiving flowers from 2 other men at the time!  But Bill was such a romantic, and one of our songs was “I Believe in Love” by Don Williams.   Every bouquet from Bill had a line from that song on the card.  The other two men didn’t stand a chance!!

This is what I received Friday morning (our actual anniversary) while at work…..

About Petty Bunch

The Petty Bunch is what we have called our family since Bill and I (Janina) began our family back in the early 1980s. We have gone down many roads together - homeschooling our kiddoes, enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship many years, working at "real jobs" other years. Through it all, we have been loved with God's everlasting love, and have found that underneath are His everlasting arms! We are blessed to have been married for over 39 years, and have 3 incredible adult children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, an amazing son-in-law, and TEN grandchildren: five precious granddaughters, and 5 handsome grandsons - so far. We are empty nesters, still enjoy the life of an entrepreneur and the freedom it gives us to continue enjoying our kids and now, their kids!

You talk about a heart melter!!!!  What a guy!  You two are your own love story!  You are right out of a romance novel.  God has blessed both of you with sweetness and tolerance and acceptance of others.  That goes a long way toward making your love last and be so strong.  Hey, today is our daddy’s birthday.  Wow!  88!  Why can’t he be 70?  I guess that would be weird since I am 67.  HA!  But I have to be reminded of that tiny fact!  ha  I bet you all will have a fun party tomorrow!

@ALDOG1 – You bet we’re gonna have a fun time – if we can get Daddy to stay out of bed for any length of time.  He was acting like he felt much better this weekend, but we are having a hard time getting him out of bed.  Pam is coming home Wednesday, and I think that will help.  Continue praying – he is getting well slowly, but surely! And thank you for your sweet words – Bill and I are just so blessed by God – we can only show our gratitude to Him by trying to love as He has loved us!!!

Got your message, Nina.  I am going to wait until tomorrow to call Dad for his birthday.  I will be working in the office from 11-1 and will call him when I get back to the trailer.  I have such a “job” now.  I work 11-1 on Mondays and Tuesdays.  ha  Those are the Mosleys days off and I relieve Scooter in the office so he can go clean the bathrooms and do a trash run and have lunch.  It is perfect for me.  I only have to dread it two days a week. ha  The office phone literally does not stop ringing.  Even while I am talking to a customer on the phone, someone is trying to beep in constantly.  I would go nuts with a week of it!!!

  10. pettybunch says:

@ALDOG1 – I’m kinda sad you work on Mondays and Tuesdays – that’s when we’ll be there!  But at least it’s only for a little while each day.  All of us are so excited about coming to the River!  We can’t wait.  It will be a wonderful respite from all the weddings in June!  Did you know Quincey is getting married on the 14th?

  11. ALDOG1 says:

No, did not know about Quincey.  I never ever hear from that branch of the family.  Is it the guy that was at the reunion?  And can you remember his name?  He and Marty won the horseshoe tournament and in the newsletter I put the winners were Marty and Quincey’s friend. ha  I would love to replace that with a real name before I print them.  That’s right!  I have not printed them yet!  I am running so behind but I got several articles on the last day of the deadline and got a huge one the day after (which I accepted, of course).  I took it upon myself, by the way, to put Ms Roo’s picture in and a notice of her first birthday. Love you bunches

  12. pettybunch says:

@ALDOG1 – I’m pretty sure it is – his name is Justin Jones.  I’m glad you included a photo of my grandbaby!  She is beautiful!

  13. ALDOG1 says:

Justin!  That’s it!!!!  Thanks!  Who did you hear it from, Aunt Blanche?

  14. How wonderful!!! Praise God for husbands!

  15. pettybunch says:

@ALDOG1 – Quincey called Dannye about a month ago to ask her if she would take pictures at the wedding. She said Dan always takes pics of her kids and she’s so good with them she thinks they will be comfortable with her.  Justin also has 2 children under 5!  Quincey had no idea that we are trying to do this professionally.  So we are going to go and take the photos.

  16. momstranz says:

Congratulations, Bill and Nina!  Hope your anniversary celebration was extra special!!

  17. pettybunch says:

@momstranz – Thanks, Pam – we did have such a special, wonderful anniversary.  It was great going to San Antonio the weekend before our actual anniversary because then Bill sent me the flowers on the real day of.  It made the celebration last longer!

  18. (Mama, did you see that momaroo printed my birth story? It’s listed as #1—-posted yesterday, I think.)

  19. Abbiegirl says:

umm…whats post prosessing? like photoshop? it’s just a easy program called picnik.com it’s really easy and fun.miss you!Abigail

  20. pettybunch says:

@Abbiegirl – Yes, that’s it, Abbie.  Sounds cool.  Well, you did a really good job.

  21. Anonymous says:

Your flowers are very pretty. I find belly patters more comical than annoying.  I’m always tempted to pat them back.

  22. pettybunch says:

@paddler357 – You made me laugh!

  23. AuntGen says:

It made me cry when you told me about the flowers, but you didn’t tell me about the card!  I have always loved the way Bill loves you, but this year (e.g. mothers’ day and your anniversary) he has out-done himself.  The flowers are beautiful and if we “compare ourselves with ourselves,” Bill’s love for you is a standard most men find it difficult to live up to.  I love you!  Gen

  24. maryhurlbut says:

p.s. LOVED all the pictures form San Antonio too
