Not much time for words tonight, but I wanted to show you our snow. Yep, it snowed, not just in Texas, but in southeast Texas!!!! I don’t know how much will or won’t accumulate – they were talking 1 – 3 inches earlier today, but changed it later in the day. We certainly enjoyed seeing it, though!!
Amy and I had already been out in it, but were watching from the porch at this point.
Dannye getting pics, too.
A Texas blizzard!!
Can you believe?????
The flakes got bigger….
and bigger…
and BIGGER!!
Amy LOVED it!
Look at those snowflakes!
I know some of you northerners are laughing at us, but this is a totally new experience for us!
My adorable Dannye Reigh!
And my handsome hubby!
Loved the snow on his black hat!
Molly wasn’t sure what to think – she wouldn’t sit all the way down, but wouldn’t come out of it either.
Mama’s magnolia tree
Time to say goodbye!
God bless your day!!
About Petty Bunch
The Petty Bunch is what we have called our family since Bill and I (Janina) began our family back in the early 1980s. We have gone down many roads together - homeschooling our kiddoes, enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship many years, working at "real jobs" other years. Through it all, we have been loved with God's everlasting love, and have found that underneath are His everlasting arms! We are blessed to have been married for over 39 years, and have 3 incredible adult children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, an amazing son-in-law, and TEN grandchildren: five precious granddaughters, and 5 handsome grandsons - so far. We are empty nesters, still enjoy the life of an entrepreneur and the freedom it gives us to continue enjoying our kids and now, their kids!
Your title must be taken from White Christmas, no? 🙂 I love that movie!I love that you all are enjoying the snow so immensely. It looks beautiful in the pictures, although I freely admit I am glad it is you and not us… I’m rather tired of being snowed/iced in and am ready to be done with it for a while! 🙂
@PrincessOfSeptember – You got it – White Christmas! One good thing about our snow is that while we may have ice, the snow won’t stay around – we’re just too warm here! We’ll enjoy it while we have it!
Great looking snowflakes…like powdered sugar on everything! So fun.
It looks so beautiful against the trees and the dusting on everyone’s hair and clothes.I would have been out with Bill and Dannye taking pictures too
Looks like fun! Enjoy!
Once again, Mom loved watching the flakes fall. She was glad to be inside this time, though. Last time we had gone to Vonda’s and she had to go out in it, but it was drier then. Love the pics, especially of my lovely Amy.
@AuntGen – I know – isn’t she so beautiful??? She was enraptured by the snow, and it so showed on her face!
Loved seeing the snow pics! Yep, snow is a way of life out here in Colorado Springs! Two things I don’t think I will ever get used to even after 3 years of living here: shoveling the driveway (ugh! I work up a sweat even in teen degree weather!) and driving in icy/snowy conditions. No fun. It is indeed amazing to step outside my front driveway every day and see Pikes Peak covered in a fresh dusting. It is just beautiful! ~Erin
@jeroland – I can only imagine! I have to admit, though, I would never enjoy as much cold as you have up north – no matter how many times I’m told it is a different kind of cold! I love my Texas heat too much!!Hope all is well with you all – Loved seeing your comment on here!Love you guys!!!
AJ: “GASP! Das’ AMY! Ann….who dat?” me: “Who do you think it is?” AJ: *giggle* “Ummmm, my….NONNIE!” *scrolling down* “More Amy! And more, an’ more, an’ MORE Amy! AND MY NEE-NEE! I SEE MY NEE-NEE! And….*long pause, adoring look*….my Paaaapaaaa. AJ wuvs my Papa. More pitchers, Mama? PEESE more pitchers?”thought that was pretty cute commentary from this side of the planet. 🙂 (ps. i am NOT laughing at y’all—that is a ton of snow for M! i would have been right out there with you!!)
I love Em’s commentary. I can almost hear Roo. Except that I have never really gotten to hear her talk. You all got so much more snow than we did. It didn’t start here until nearly dark. Scooter had to study hard to decide the rain had turned to snow. I told him that was not enough to make me get out of my chair. ha It didn’t snow an hour. And very light. I wanted the two inches they had been talking about earlier. At least to take a couple of pictures of. Actually, I told Scooter if we get enough to stick I will give you my camera. ha The pictures are beautiful, especially the ones of Amy and Dan. Dan looks adorable in that hat. Great color on her. Did you see Allison’s Easter pictures of her babies? I could eat that Mila UP!!!
@sunshinejoy717 – I knew you would love it!! And I knew you would be right out there with us, too! It truly was wonderful.I love your commentary from A.J., too! I can just hear her saying those things. I can’t wait for her to see her Papa – and he can’t wait to see her, either!Love you!!
I was outside at our house and then i was looking up and SMACK! a snow flake the size of Max’s paw hit me in the face! Miley was running around playing in the snow and then, IT STUCK TO THE GROUND!!!!! AND WE HAD LIKE 2 INCHES AND MAX WENT OUT AND STARTED EATING SNOW!! I came inside SOAKED!!!! i had to blow dry my hair! I even made two mini snow men!!!
@MissyAllen – How much fun is that?????????? We sure had fun in it, too. Molly kept wanting in the house, then out in the snow, then in the house, back and forth!
@pettybunch – Maxy kept begging to go out! He LOVED it!!1
